Ward 3 Councilmember Mary Cheh and DC Water will hold a town hall meeting about water issues Tuesday at the University of the District of Columbia.
George Hawkins, general manager of DC Water, will represent the agency at the meeting in UDC’s Windows Lounge.
The meeting will “feature information on water quality, construction projects, employment, and customer service,” DC Water said on its website. The agency will also bring representatives to speak about “water and sewer rates, drinking water, infrastructure, and efforts to help clean local rivers.”
Tuesday’s meeting is the first of a set of town hall meetings DC Water is hosting for each ward in the city.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., DC water said. UDC’s Windows Lounge is in the second floor of Building 38 on its Van Ness campus, on the southwest corner of Connecticut Avenue and Veazey Terrace Northwest.
