Cleveland Park Irish pub Ireland’s Four Fields, also known as 4P’s, may close soon.
“I can’t talk about that for another few weeks,” Frank Hughes, the restaurant’s owner, said Tuesday. “But there’s nothing definite right now.”
Andrew Gordon, a member of the Cleveland Park Listserv, said in a Tuesday morning post that the restaurant at 3412 Connecticut Ave. cannot afford its increased rent and will close in August, citing rumors.
Hughes refused to confirm or deny the rumors.
Steve Schwat, principal of Urban Investment Partners, which owns the 4P’s building, was unavailable for comment Tuesday.
